Saat ini, perhatian mereka terutama tertuju pada fase terakhir penambangan terbuka di Grasberg, sambil juga mengembangkan beberapa proyek penambangan bawah tanah yang besar dan berkelanjutan di wilayah tersebut. Proyek-proyek ini diharapkan akan memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap produksi tembaga dan emas, seiring dengan peralihan dari penambangan terbuka di Grasberg.

Saat ini PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI) membuka rekrutmen lowongan kerja untuk dapat bergabung bersama dengan posisi sebagai berikut:
1. Geo Engineering – Engineer, UG Geotech DOZ – DMLZ
  • Provide geotechnical recommendation and/or services to the PTFI U/G Mines by directing the design, support and monitoring of geotechnical aspects of U/G Mine facilities and operations to ensure safe and efficient operation of U/G Mines.
The key duties and responsibilities of this position are:
  1. 1Meet the PTFI Safety and Environmental Programs and standards.
  2. Inspect and analyze ground condition for any new development heading to ensure the recommended support design fit with the actual ground condition.
  3. Evaluate and modify ground support design for new development areas using GSST tools to ensure the lifetime stability of the opening.
  4. Analyze ground movement and damage progress as impact of induce stress or mining activity (blasting, caving, production, etc) to provide appropriate action plans, in order to ensure safety of the miners and also to achieve production target.
  5. Analyze seismic monitoring data to indicate ground response and seismic related hazards to ensure the safety of underground facilities, access and production areas.
  6. Inspect and monitor ground condition of DMLZ mine fix facilities (e.g. ore pass, loading point, crusher, vent raise, access, office and any mass excavation) and provide warning of unsafe condition and short/long term mitigation plan.
  7. Monitor displacement by conducting convergence measurement using geotechnical devices (e.g. tape or scanner) on any drift and working areas, particularly for complex and high-risk areas, to ensure safe and efficient operation of mine. Recommend resupport or rehabilitation as required.
  8. Conduct cave monitoring program such as TDR and open hole measurement and construction of cave shape by combining all monitoring data (including seismic, cave tracker and smart marker) to interpret cave propagation and material movement.
  9. Update database system for geotechnical data/information and reports/recommendation so the database is accessible and preservable

The background, education, and work experience needed to succeed in this job are:
Minimum Education and Experience:
  • S1 degree in Geology or Mining Engineering with minimum 2 years of experience in underground geotechnical.
  • S2 degree in Mining Engineering or Geotechnical with thesis related to underground geotechnical
Core Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Characters):
  • Have knowledge of basic theory of rock mechanics and geotechnical engineering from university course work.
  • Be able to communicate with field people, lead subordinates, develop or train subordinates and must be energetic & willing to work in the field.
  • Analytical thinking.
  • English for both oral and written.
  • Computer, such as VULCAN, AUTOCAD, and Mining Software (Deswik, Voxler).

2. Environmental – Scientist, Data Compilation Coastal dan Marine
  • Provide data and information regarding environmental related condition as assigned, which will be used in further analysis, in order to support superior recommendation and decision.
The key duties and responsibilities of this position are:
  1. Observe, measure, record, and compile environmental facts in the areas assigned, for use by the company.
  2. Fill out routine Environmental Department approved mapping, sampling and logging data forms to record environmental data for database input in line with Company’s SOP.
  3. Perform regular quality control checks of data entry, drafting, modeling, and other work to ensure the products in the areas assigned are accurate, consistent and complete.
  4. Provide and submit periodical report (weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually) including data review and analysis to superior, which can be used as foundation for decision-making.
  5. Report observation on the environment in written formats as required, so that this information can be included in further compilation and interpretation of the data and so that company records are maintained for the future.
  6. Understand and be aware of safety and environmental practices in the work area ensuring safe work practices within the group and compliance with company Safety and Environmental SOP.
  • The collection and compilation of consistent, accurate, and factual environmental data in this position is vital to the further interpretation and modeling of the data for determination of impact management plans and procedures for the company.
The background, education, and work experience needed to succeed in this job are:
Minimum Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree (S1) in an environmental related science with at least 5 years working experience in the environmental science industry (mining and/or industrial).
  • Master’s degree (S2) in Oceanography with strong experience in mining industry is preferred.

  • Thorough and comprehensive understanding of the theories and principles of environmental science.

    • Mastering Oceanography instrumentation and able to operate: ADCP/ADP (Acoustic Doppler Current Profile), Current Meter,
    • Automatic Tide Level, CTD SVP, bathymetry sounding single/multi beam, GPS/ D-GPS user, Data logger (tide, wave, temperature and sea profile), oceanography data instrument analyst, 2D/3D Numerical ocean modeling advection.
  • Certified Diving : One Star SCUBA Diver CMAS, Basic Diver – ADS-Japan, Speciality Dive PADI, Dive work Level 1.

3. Dewatering Plant – Superintendent Dewatering Plant Ops and Pipeline Mtc
  • Plan, Organize, control, and monitor all Engineering and Construction Project activities pertaining to concentrate and fuel pipelines areas and associated infrastructures including the development of the budget in order to support operations by making sure that slurry is efficiently and effectively transported from Mile 74 to Portsite, Dried and Stored in the barn and finally to be Loaded and Shipped the product safely. Daily Fuel Operation is piped to HL and LL area to be used for running equipment to support production and timely distributed within mine areas, residence areas and the other area within PT. Job Responsibility:
  1. Direct and communicate company’s safety and environmental culture according to policies and procedures in order to ensure subordinates perform their duties in a safe manner and environmentally conscious manner.
  2. Site Supervision: The Superintendent is responsible for on-site management, ensuring that work is carried out according to plans and specifications. They oversee subcontractors, ensure safety protocols are followed, and address any on-site issues promptly.
  3. Plan work and coordination with support project Engineers and to include subordinate periodically and focus on continuous improvement for Sustaining Safe Production of our Operation.
  4. Schedule Management: Managing the project schedule is a core function of the Superintendent. They must coordinate with various teams to ensure that tasks are completed on time, identify potential delays, and take proactive measures to keep the project on track.
  5. Review and approve project scope and related technical standards, codes and specification in order to determine the most appropriate engineering design for the project through a good coordination and communication with client or other relevant department in term to define the clear project scope.
  6. Works proactively to set end-user expectation to assure a smooth project including acceptance of project delivery.
  7. Review and approved cost estimate, project schedule as a project guideline, review and justify AFE to support with the complete and realistic justification to obtain Management Approval for project implementation.
  8. Quality Control: The Superintendent plays a key role in ensuring that work meets quality standards. They conduct inspections, address any deficiencies, and work to deliver a final product that meets or exceeds our client’s expectations.
  9. Plans, monitors, and controls project activities, proactively to maximize cash flow.
  10. Understands critical path scheduling and assures a minimum but sufficient project float and understands risks as well as what may be causing a change in risk exposure and actions to avoid and mitigate.
  11. Budget Oversight: Keeping the project within budget is essential, and the Superintendent plays a crucial role in monitoring and controlling costs. They must track expenses, identify cost-saving opportunities, and communicate effectively with the project management team.
  12. Understands and use Full Cost Calculation or Model and different revenue recognition methods.
  13. Team Leadership: As a leader on the project site, the Superintendent must motivate and guide the project team to achieve goals efficiently and effectively. They must foster a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and address any conflicts that may arise.
  14. Taking Leading Role on Projects and Capital Projects on the existing and future projects with communicating with third party Engineering and Construction or EPC team to include Nola/Phoenix from project initiation to execution.
The background, education, and work experience needed to succeed in this job are:
Minimum Education and Experience
  • Bachelor of higher degree in Engineering and Project Management, or related field with an excess of 10 years of experiences in  Engineering and Project Management. Prefer Electrical/Mechanical and Civil.
  • Experience in Project Management and Controls Experience and sufficient background to manage and track multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to handle and to control multi-million-dollar EPCM projects to include material control, schedule and cost.
  • Ability to interpret long-term mine plans and their relationship to current and future processing equipment requirement.
  • Ability to supervise human resources and to provide guidance on personnel management relate to overall project schedule and execution modules.
  • Ability to manage Capital Expenditure and Operation Expenditure Projects.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and manage the calmness workplace.
  • Good computer skill emphasizing in project schedule and cost software.
  • Excellent in oral and written communication skills.
  • Good English and other language as additional value beside native Bahasa Indonesia.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
